San Bernardino, California (May 27, 2021) – To remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, all 170 Stater Bros. Markets locations will participate in the National Moment of Remembrance this Memorial Day.
The National Moment of Remembrance, established by an Act of Congress in 2000, designates 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day each year as a moment to pause, in an act of national unity, to honor the men and women of the United States who died in the pursuit of freedom and peace.
At exactly 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 31st, every Stater Bros. Markets store manager will ask all customers and employees to pause for a one-minute moment of silence to honor and remember our fallen heroes.

About Bugles Across America
Bugles Across America, NFP was founded in 2000 by Tom Day, when Congress passed legislation stating that Veterans have a right to at least two uniformed military people to fold the flag and play Taps on a CD player. Bugles Across America was founded to take this a step further. In recognition of the service these Veterans have provided to their country, we felt that they each deserve a live rendition of Taps by a real bugler. To this end, we are actively seeking capable volunteers to provide this valuable service to Veterans and their families.
