Lunar New Year starts Wednesday, January 29th and we’re here to provide you with all of your Lunar New Year Essentials. The celebration is rooted in family and traditions, and a big part of those traditions revolve around food! Most of the food eaten around Lunar New Year represents something; noodles for longevity, sweet rice balls for unity, and dumplings as pockets of prosperity. Everything on the dinner table has a sentimental meaning and we have everything you need to make some traditional must have celebratory meals.

Seafood Offerings
Fish are a common part of Lunar New Year celebrations because fish represents abundance and is a sign of prosperity. We have a variety of fresh and frozen seafood offerings across our stores. Whether you need to purchase a whole fish for your dinner centerpiece or some shrimp for a hearty side dish, we’ve got you covered. We have a special Direct to Store Delivery (DSD) program where if you express a need for an item we don’t have, we’ll order it for you! In select stores you can purchase some fresh Sushi made by specially trained Fujisan chefs. Check out our special Year of the Snake sushi roll available through the month of January.
Produce Offerings
Both fruits and vegetables have a number of attributed sentiments as well. Bok Choy represents wealth and long life, citrus fruits such as oranges or tangerines represent prosperity, and ginger root for health. We have a variety of fresh produce at our stores, stock up on fresh offerings close to your celebration and create your special meals.

Spices and Sauces
Now that you’ve got your seafood and produce offerings, you’ll need some sauces and spices to flavor your dishes up. Premade Appetizers
We have a number of dumpling, spring roll, and veggie stir fry options available in our frozen section. Quick and easy options to pop in the oven or air fryer when you’re short on time.
