Riverside, California (November 20, 2024) – California Baptist University and Stater Bros. Markets are teaming up for a second year in a row to promote holiday cheer and support CBU athletics this holiday season. CBU and Stater Bros. invite everyone in the local community to come out to watch some exciting Division I basketball and support the CBU Lancers men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Sports fans in the Inland Empire can visit select Stater Bros. Markets locations located in Riverside, CA to pick up special discount ticket vouchers containing a QR code to access the offer for five different Holiday Series home games. The regular price for individual tickets is $10 for each game, but with the discount voucher, tickets are only $5 each. A special package deal for admission to all five games in the series is also available for $21 for general admission seating and $36 for reserved seating.

The Holiday Series will begin on December 17 as the reigning Western Athletic Conference champion women’s team welcomes Middle Tennessee to CBU’s Fowler Events Center. Middle Tennessee is one of the premier women’s mid-major programs and was crowned Conference USA Champions before defeating Louisville in the opening round of the NCAA tournament. The first men’s game of the series will be on December 28 as the men face Jackson State. CBU has a 3-0 record against the Tigers and will follow that game with a matchup against UC Irvine on December 30. The final game of the series will be the conference opener for the men on January 4 as they ring in the new year with a matchup against Seattle U.

In addition, CBU and Stater Bros. will show their support for children in the local community by participating in a CHiPs for Kids toy drive at the game on December 17. CHiPS for Kids is sponsored by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and KCAL News Group to help make a difference in the lives of children and teens this holiday season. In order to participate in the toy drive, CBU is asking fans to bring an unwrapped toy to the game.
