For the last 17 years, the Stater Bros. Charities Believe Walk has become more than just a walk. It’s a day to celebrate the incredible strength of cancer survivors, honor those who’ve fought, and raise funds to advance cancer care and support services. Whether you’ve been personally touched by cancer or want to lend a helping hand, you can make a difference one step at a time at the 17th Annual Believe Walk on Sunday, October 6th, in Downtown Redlands!
The Mission
The Believe Walk supports the fight against all types of cancer by raising funds that support programs and services at local cancer-fighting organizations in Southern California.
Their mission is focused on four pillars of cancer care: increasing AWARENESS in our local communities, SUPPORT for patients, caregivers, thrivers, and survivors, expanding TREATMENT, and enhancing WELLNESS for those impacted by cancer.
The Commitment
While the Believe Walk recognizes the importance of cancer research, it’s fully committed to advancing cancer care programs and services to support the immediate needs of cancer patients and their families.
100% of the event’s net proceeds fund local nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing compassionate care for those facing the physical, emotional, and financial challenges of a cancer diagnosis.
The Impact
In its first year, the Believe Walk began with over 1,500 participants. Today, it has grown to 10,000 walkers, volunteers, and sponsors.
Through the generosity of its supporters, the Believe Walk has invested over $9.8 million in local organizations dedicated to fighting all types of cancer and advancing cancer care and life-saving services in our communities.
