Throughout the year, Stater Bros. Charities raises funds at every Stater Bros. Supermarket for several major non-profit partners that support critical needs facing our employees, customers and the greater Southern California community. Each dollar raised goes directly to support their local efforts.

The American Heart & Stroke Association
This past February, Stater Bros. Charities continued to celebrate a 12-year partnership with the American Heart & Stroke Association by conducting the Stater Bros. Charities “Have A Heart, Save A Heart” mobile campaign in honor of National Heart Month. This campaign has raised over $3.6 million to date.
$1 and $5 paper hearts were sold at each checkstand where customers were welcome to write a loved one’s name on the heart which was displayed inside the store. In addition, customers were given a detachable bookmark to take home for each paper heart sold. For each $5 paper heart sold, customers were given a "Red Dress" pin compliments of the American Heart & Stroke Association.
Funds raised from this campaign went directly to local research projects and programs that will educate Southern California residents about the risks of heart disease and stroke. To learn more, visit www.staterbroshasheart.org
City of Hope
During the month of October, Stater Bros. Charities conducts the ‘Kids 4 Hope’ mobile fundraising campaign which benefits the Pediatric Services at the City of Hope. Customers are able to purchase a $1 or $5 ‘Kids 4 Hope’ mobile which is available at all supermarket locations.
This year, the funds from the Kids 4 Hope campaign are being used to expand the pediatric programs at the City of Hope, which will allow the City of Hope to serve more children and enroll more children in clinical trials. Without donations from the Kids 4 Hope Campaign, this would not be possible. To date, this campaign has raised over $1 million.
The City of Hope is a leading research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases. To donate or get more information, visit the City of Hope's website.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
During the month of June, Stater Bros. Charities will partner with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by raising funds at each check stand. Customers are invited to participate by purchasing a paper balloon for $1 at the register. Customers are welcome to write their names or the names of a loved one on the balloons, which will be displayed inside the store.
In addition to this campaign, Stater Bros. Charities will partner with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at their annual “Light The Night” Walk at Angel Stadium which will be held on Saturday, September 28th. This walk will honor those who have been affected by blood cancer, those who will walk in memory of someone who had lost their battle with blood cancer and those who have a family member or friend who is currently battling the disease.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, while improving the quality of life for patients and their families. To date, this Stater Bros. campaign has raised over $1.5 million.
All funds raised will be used to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma’s Patient Services programs in Southern California. Patient services include financial aid, support groups, first connection programs and countless others. To learn more, visit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's website.
